Frequently Asked Questions
DPC is a membership model of healthcare. For one low monthly fee, you can have unlimited access to your primary care provider for routine and most urgent care needs. This can include a number of procedures such as ear wax removal, skin biopsy (pathology not included), etc. It also includes urgent care needs that can often be handled with a telehealth visit or phone call.
Starting January 1, 2026, Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) can be used to pay for Direct Primary Care memberships. The new law allows coverage of membership fees up to $150 per month for individuals and $300 per month for families.
This change makes it easier to access affordable, personalized primary care using pre-tax dollars.
It may be possible to use Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) but you should confirm whether your employer’s FSA plan has specifically adopted DPC memberships as a reimbursable expense.
